I would like to explain you something very important regarding the success in the funding process.
Often good projects get nowhere because its sponsors cannot understand how the financing process works. Unfortunately during more than fifteen years in this business we have seen many great projects fall to be financed because its leader(s) think the project by itself deserves to get the investors’ attention.
We want your project to obtain a really fast and serious investors’ attention. However, the only way do get their attention is sending them all the information they expect to receive and creating the documents the way they want to receive them. This is one of the more important secrets about the funding process. Documents must contain the information investors want to get and be created the way they want them done.
NO MATTER HOW GREAT A PROJECT MAY BE, IF THE DOCUMENTS SENT TO INVESTORS DO NOT COVER THE DETAILS EXPLAINED ABOVE, THEN THEY ALL END IN THE GARBAGE.
Something very few sponsors know if that investors spend no more than five minutes to check out the Executive Summary of a project. That’s why this document is so important and should be contain the most important information briefly and concisely. If the Executive Summary does not get the investors’ attention right away, then sponsors waste their precious time and the possibility to obtain the money they need. You’ve got only one opportunity and that opportunity should not be through away.
